T-Recs lists that recommend each other

About T-Recs

T-Recs is a place to keep lists of things you’d recommend: books for a syllabus, albums, your top-100 films, a wish list, a publication’s best-of. Each list gets its own link to share. You don’t need an account.

Items from other people’s lists

Under every list, T-Recs adds items from other people’s public lists that seem related, so a list can lead you somewhere new. It looks first for lists that contain the exact same links, then lists that link to the same websites, then lists with similar names. Very common sites (like big stores or streaming services) don’t count on their own, so a wish list full of shopping links doesn’t match every other wish list.

Only lists marked “Share in recommendations” are used. You can turn that off for any list you own; it then stays viewable by link but doesn’t appear on the home page or on anyone else’s list.

Popular

Popular lists are ranked by views. Each browser counts once per list per day, and owners’ own views don’t count.
